Introductory Bushcare Workshop
What to bring:
- Pen and notebook (handouts will be provided)
- Your morning tea, snacks, lunch and water
- Wet weather gear or hat and sunscreen (as appropriate)
- Long pants, long sleeves and sturdy enclosed footwear are required to be worn for the field trip
Workshop content
- The diversity of our native vegetation & basic ecology
- Bush regeneration principles, strategies and methods for improving bushland health
- Minimum disturbance weeding techniques
- Working safely in the bush
- Chemical and safety information
- How to get involved as a Bush For Life volunteer
- Field trip to practice bush regeneration techniques
IMPORTANT: If you have a medical condition that could affect you on the day and field, please inform the supervisors on the day.
